If God were to ask me, "What is your wish?"
I would reply without hesitation,"My wish is
Korean independence."
If God asked me, "What is your next wish?" I
would again reply, "It is the independence of
our nation."
If God asked me one more time, "What is
your next wish?" I would reply even more
forcefully, "My wish is the complete sovereign
independence of our nation, Korea."

My fellow Koreans!
I, Kim Koo,have but this sole wish.I have lived

the past seventy years of my life striving
to achieve this one wish. Today, I live for this
single wish. And tomorrow, I shall live to make
this sole wish of mine come true.
